Northern Michigan Regional Health System partnership with Mackinac Straits Hospital and the Mackinac Island Medical Center will enhance the sharing of best practices and high quality resources.

Mackinac Island Medical Center, located on Mackinac Island, is a state-of-the-art, three-story medical center offering Emergency Room, X-Ray, Primary Care, and Vaccine Clinic. Specialty services are offered in Gastroenterology and Neurophysiology. The medical center case load averages about 3,000 visits per year. A physician, registered nurse, and ambulance personnel are on call during off hours. Currently, Mackinac Straits Hospital and Health Center of St. Ignace helps to oversee the operations of the Mackinac Island Medical Center.
