  • 03/29/2010 - Hospice of Little Traverse Bay Announces New Medical Director
    March 29, 2010 – Petoskey, Mich. – Joelle L. Drader, MD, will assume the role of Medical Director for Hospice of Little Traverse Bay (HOLTB) on April 1. Drader proceeds Steven J. Dupuis, DO, who has made a heartfelt decision to move closer to his family. Dr. Dupuis will pursue hospice Medical Director duties in the Kalamazoo area.
  • 03/24/2010 - 2010 Children’s Health Fair to be held Saturday, April 17 at Petoskey Middle School
    More than 40 community agencies will be participating in the 20th Annual Children’s Health Fair sponsored by Northern Michigan Regional Hospital.

    The fair will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 17, at the Petoskey Middle School located at 801 Northmen Drive next to the high school, off of Mitchell Street in Petoskey.

  • 03/19/2010 - Sleep specialist receives board certification
    Petoskey, Mich. - March 19, 2010 - Jeffrey B. Washington, MD, of the Center for Pulmonary & Sleep Medicine in Petoskey and medical staff member at Northern Michigan Regional Hospital, has been notified by the American Board of Internal Medicine about successfully completing the requirements for Board Certification in Sleep Medicine. This Board Certification demonstrates that Dr. Washington has met the highest standards of care in sleep medicine.

  • 01/29/2010 - Buzzelli Elected To Northern Michigan Regional Health System Board
    Petoskey, Mich. – January 29, 2010 – The Northern Michigan Regional Health System Board of Trustees has elected David T. Buzzelli as its new chairperson. New Board officers include Thomas Irwin, Vice President, Robert Foster, Vice President & Treasurer, and Thomas Moran, Vice President & Secretary. Irwin and Moran were both elected to their second three-year term. Other members serving on the Board are Reezie DeVet, Joseph Hance, MD, Elise Hayes, Irene Kazmers, MD, John Kohler and David Rynbrandt, MD.

    Petoskey, Mich. – January 12, 2010 – Mary-Anne Ponti, RN, MSN, MBA, CNAA-BC, along with her current role as Chief Nursing Executive, will assume the role of Chief Operating Officer of Northern Michigan Regional Health System, formerly held by Reezie DeVet, RN, EdD. DeVet is now President & Chief Executive Officer.
  • 01/08/2010 - Grant Supports Hospice of Little Traverse Bay Legacy Project
    Petoskey, Mich. – January 8, 2010 – “Memories of your life in your words for those you love,” is the motto of The Legacy Project, a special service provided by Hospice of Little Traverse Bay volunteers. The Maude and Gorton Milliken Fund, through the Petoskey-Harbor Springs Area Community Foundation, recently granted Hospice of Little Traverse Bay $500 to support this new program which provides Hospice patients with an opportunity to share their special memories with loved ones in a format that is most meaningful to them.
