Cafeteria & Room Service
Patients and visitors are welcome to join us in our cafeteria, located on the Ground Floor. We offer a variety of menu items daily. The main menu changes each day throughout a 6 week cycle.
Monday through Friday at each meal there are typically four entrees available plus a short order grill, along with a multitude of snacks, fruit, desserts and beverages to choose from.
Cafeteria Meal Times:
Breakfast 6 - 9:30 a.m.
Lunch 11:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
Dinner 4:45 - 6:15 p.m.
Midnight 12:30 - 2:00 a.m.
Room Service
Northern Michigan Regional Hospital provides hotel-style Room Service for our patients. You select the items you want, place a call to our Room Service Ambassadors (7-FOOD) and within 45-minutes or less your meal tray arrives to your room. Features
Nurses, Techs, Ambassadors, Family Members, or Visitors may place meal orders for patients who need help. Guest trays may also be ordered by visitors.
Room Service operators will advise if an item ordered is not compliant with the patient’s diet order and will offer alternatives. There are seven different menus designed to accommodate a particular diet including:
- Regular / No Added Salt
- Heart Healthy / Carbohydrate Controlled
- Soft, Restricted Fiber
- Mechanical Soft
- Pureed
- Renal
- Full Liquid
Our system will let us know if a patient has not ordered a meal and we will check on those patients to see if they need help with placing an order.

Calls will be answers between 7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.

The Algonquin room: Accessible 24-hours for visitors to relax and take a break.
Vending Machines: Left of the main entrance of the cafeteria and the Emergency Department.
Big Apple Bagel: Available in the cafeteria.
